Love Your Lake is a shoreline evaluation program developed by Watersheds Canada and the Canadian Wildlife Federation, and it is delivered in the Muskoka area by the Muskoka Watershed Council with support from the District of Muskoka. 

• Through the Love Your Lake program, every property on the lake is assessed using a standardized assessment protocol, and landowners receive a personalized property report with details on the state of their shoreline and recommended actions for improving lake health for people and wildlife. 

 

In addition to these personalized property reports, the lake association receives a lake-wide report that summarizes the results of the shoreline surveys.

Twenty lakes have been surveyed to date in Muskoka and the Bass Lake Executive is delighted that we have been asked to participate in the program this summer, Summer 2022.
